Light Intensity after Cataract Surgery & Lens Implant

Question: Light seems extremely intense now that I have had cataract surgery and a lens implant upon the removal of my cataract-is this normal?

Answer: Yes, it is normal to experience extreme light intensity after a Cataract Surgery and Lens Implant, especially if there was a progressively worsening Cataract and it was gradually diminishing light getting into the back of the eye. Patients often comment that the "before and after" comparison can be intense-however, it subsides in relatively short order.
